In 2019, Yoran De Vos obtained his PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Ghent for his work on the topic of sustainable Fe-based oxygen carriers for chemical looping, in close collaboration with the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO). His expertise lies in materials synthesis, development and characterization, and shaping of porous spherical and 3D-printed materials. After obtaining his PhD, Yoran continued to work at VITO as a Research Scientist in the CAST-team (Coating and Shaping Technologies). His current work focuses on developing 3D printed catalysts and sorbents, i.a., and he is involved in several related projects.
