Bin Yan is an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, Central South University, and has been the Deputy Director of the Railway Engineering Department since 2019. He received his Bachelor of civil engineering and Doctor of Bridge and Tunnel Engineering from Central South University in 2007 and 2013, respectively, and was a Post Doctor of Transportation Engineering at the same university from 2013 to 2015. His main research specialization includes continuously welded rail on long-span bridges, temperature load mode of ballastless tracks, ballastless track damage, and vehicle–bridge coupling dynamics.
