Prof. Dr. Pedro Valencia is a biochemist with an MSc in Biochemical Engineering and a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile. He is a research associate at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Valparaíso, Chile, dedicated to research on enzyme kinetics; mechanisms and technology in topics such as the mechanisms and modeling of the enzymatic hydrolysis of food byproducts; statistical methods to estimate enzyme kinetic parameters; and modelling of the reaction–diffusion in immobilized enzyme catalysts.
