Dr. Sneha Gautam serves as Professor (Research) in the Division of Civil Engineering at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and an MTech in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Indian School of Mines (IIT - ISM) Dhanbad. Following his Ph.D., he pursued research stints at INCLEN and the University of California, Berkeley, USA (May 2015 – July 2016), and received a Post Doctoral Fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan (August 2016 – May 2017). Dr. Gautam research output includes over 135 articles in leading journals, reflecting an impactful scholarly career with an h-index of 45, i10-index of 128, and 7096 citations. He has cultivated a global network of collaborators across four continents and holds editorial board positions in several international journals. Recognized as one of the Top 2% Global Scientists by Stanford University (2021, 2022,; 2023, 2024,2025), he has also been honoured with the IEI Young Engineers Award (Environment) 2019, IEI Young Achiever Award 2020, IEI Special Appreciation Award 2021, Outstanding Reviewer Award, and various national and international fellowships over the past five years.
