Dr. Mohd. Imran is an academic and pharmaceutical research scientist. He was a University Gold Medalist and master of pharmacy and completed his Ph.D. in 2006 at Jamia Hamdard (Hamdard University), India. He worked as a research scientist in the patent department of Wockhardt Pharmaceuticals and Ranbaxy Laboratories Limited for around eight years. During his tenure at Ranbaxy, he received the “Employee of the Quarter Award” in 2011 and the “Team Excellence Award” in 2012. He joined the College of Pharmacy, Northern Border University, Saudi Arabia, in October 2013. He received the “Best Teacher Award” in 2015 at the College of Pharmacy, Northern Border University. Currently, he is working as head of the department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and head of the Continuing Education unit of the College of Pharmacy, Northern Border University. He is also a permanent member of the Patent Office, Medical Research Unit, and Student Research Unit of Northern Border University. Dr. Mohd. Imran is actively involved in teaching and research. He has over 125 publications that have been cited over 1000 times. He also has seven patent application filings to his credit. He serves as an editorial board member and reviewer of many reputed journals.
