Dr Marco Corradi is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Huddersfield, UK, where he leads research and academic activities in structural and civil engineering. His research focuses on structural safety and resilience, with particular emphasis on masonry and timber structures, seismic engineering, fibre-reinforced composites, natural-fibre-based materials, and innovative strengthening techniques. More recently, his research has addressed sustainable construction materials, recycled metals, titanium alloys, and low-carbon solutions for structural applications. His work combines experimental investigation and the development of new engineering solutions for the conservation, rehabilitation, and upgrading of existing infrastructure. Professor Corradi has authored 310 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences and has contributed extensively to the advancement of structural strengthening and sustainable construction technologies. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) and is actively involved in professional and technical organisations, including RILEM and British Standards activities. He has supervised numerous PhD researchers and leads collaborative research projects involving academic and industrial partners internationally.
