Prof. Jianping Yang received a BSc from Shanxi Normal University in 1996, an MSc from the Cold and Arid Regions Environmental and Engineering Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAREERI, CAS) in 2001, and a PhD from CAREERI in 2006. She was a visiting researcher at the University of Colorado from 2009 to 2010. Since 2016, she has been a researcher at the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her research interests include climate change risks and adaptation, cryosphere changes, and regional sustainable development.
