Dr. Hana Sulieman currently serves as the Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Statistics at the American University of Sharjah, UAE. She earned her PhD in Applied Statistics from Queen's University, Canada (1998). She previously served as Head of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics (2014–2019) and has held various faculty positions at AUS since 2002, with earlier academic appointments in Canada and Jordan. Her research focuses on feature selection, ensemble learning, outlier detection, and sensitivity analysis in nonlinear models, with applications in environmental and health data science. She is a recipient of multiple Faculty Research Grants and the 2025 QUWA Award.
