Dr. Xinzhong Du is a research fellow at the Institute of
Agricultural Resources and Regional Planning, Chinese Academy of Agricultural
Sciences. He completed his PhD studies in ecology at the Ecological Environment
Research Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015. He has chaired the
National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Project—“Response
Mechanisms of Critical Source Areas and Rainfall Events in Watershed Phosphorus
Loss Dynamics”. He is mainly engaged in research work on the modeling and
assessment of agricultural surface pollution in watersheds. His research
interests include the development and application of watershed surface
pollution and water quality models; watershed surface pollution monitoring and
water quality impact assessment; and agro-ecosystem and watershed-scale
biogeochemical cycling processes and modeling.
