Prof. Ekaterini Chatzaki has led the team of molecular pharmacology in the Faculty of Medicine at DUTH since 2002. Her previous research into the identification of novel therapeutic targets in stress-related disorders has led to a significant recognized contribution in the field. In the last 10 years, an important effort has been made to develop a research team engaged in precision pharmacotherapy, using liquid biopsies and epigenetic biomarkers, whereas recently, bioinformatics and machine learning approaches have been incorporated into her studies pipeline. She was recently elected director of the Research Institute Agro-Health of HMU.
