Marco Greco, Ph.D., is a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Salento, Lecce. His research interest is in neuroscience and is related in particular to Parkinson's disease and alpha-synuclein dyshomeostasis. He has also been involved since 2020 in a European Space Agency study aimed at exploring the effects of prolonged hypoxic conditions on metabolic rearrangements in Antarctic winterovers. He is interested in exploring pathway alterations observed in such a context common to those associated with neurodegeneration, such as autophagy impairment.
