Claudia Durán received her degree in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Chile and her Ph.D. in Engineering Sciences, specializing in Industrial Engineering, from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH). She is currently a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana (UTEM), Chile. Her academic and research work has focused on industrial engineering, logistics, operations management, and data-driven decision support. Her main research topics include data analytics, operations research, logistics and supply chain management, machine learning, simulation, mixed-integer optimization, robust and stochastic optimization, multicriteria decision analysis, and business intelligence.
