Prof. Wei Hong is a fellow of IEEE, a fellow of CIE. He has been with the State Key Laboratory of Millimeter Waves, Southeast University since 1988, where he has been the Director since 2003. He is currently a Professor and the Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering. He was twice awarded the National Natural Prizes and thrice awarded the first-class Science and Technology Progress Prizes issued by the Ministry of Education of China and Jiangsu Province Government. He is involved in numerical methods for electromagnetic problems, millimeter-wave theory and technology, antennas, and RF technology for wireless communications. He has authored or co-authored over 300 technical publications with over 9000 citations and has authored two books.
