Dr. Han Lin Shang graduated from La Trobe University in 2006 and obtained a Ph.D. in Statistics from Monash University in 2010. He is a Professor of Business Analytics and Director of Research at the Department of Actuarial Studies and Business Analytics at Macquarie University. He is also a visiting scholar at the ESRC Centre for Population Change at the University of Southampton. His research interests include demographic modeling and forecasting, functional data analysis, semiparametric and nonparametric statistics, and time series analysis. Moreover, he is currently serving as an editor for the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Statistics and as an associate editor for the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series A, Journal of Computational and Graphical Statistics, Computational Statistics, Forecasting, International Journal of Forecasting and Demographic Research.
