Suryani Saallah received her B.Eng (Chemical-Bioprocess) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in 2010, her M.Sc (Bioprocess Engineering) from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 2014, and a PhD (Bio-Applications and Systems Engineering) in 2017 from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. Her research interests include biocatalysis, biomass valorization, and nanobiotechnology for food and bioprocess applications. She is now a Senior Lecturer at the Biotechnology Research Institute, Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
