Joan M. Ramage is an Associate Professor at the Earth and Environmental Sciences Department, affiliated faculty with the Environmental Studies Program, and Faculty Director of the ADVANCE Center at Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, USA. She received a Master’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1995. She completed her Ph.D. studies in Geological Sciences at Cornell University in 2001. She teaches the Lands of the Midnight Sun, Remote Sensing, and Geographic Information Systems courses. Her research interests are cryosphere, glaciers, microwave remote sensing, SAR, snow, and hydrology, as well as equity in science.
