Prof. Dr. Marcel Ausloos is a Professor at the School of Business, University of Leicester, UK, and a Principal Investigator at Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania. He obtained an MSc in Physics from Brown University, Providence, RI, USA, and a PhD in Physics from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, USA in 1970 and 1973, respectively. Prof. Dr. Marcel Ausloos has contributed greatly to statistical mechanics through studying phase transition growth (and decay) models in disordered systems which can be described along fractal and multi-fractal ideas. His interest is focused on describing non-linear and out-of-equilibrium phenomena through mathematical formalisms and simulation works.
