Dr. Andreas Scorilas is a Professor of Clinical Biochemistry at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Biology, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece. His research team’s interests include the discovery of novel cancer biomarkers in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment monitoring of human malignancies. He is a major investigator in the discovery and cloning of several cancer-related genes and transcripts. Prof. Scorilas has been honored with several international scientific awards and has coordinated demanding research grants. To date, he has more than 380 publications in high-impact international scientific journals, with more than 12,000 citations (h-index = 57).
