I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida. I earned his DVM from Konkuk University in South Korea. I received his Ph.D in Veterinary Pathology from the same school, where he established veterinary and comparative oncology research. I completed a post-doctoral work at University of Minnesota and Masonic Cancer Center, Twin Cities, MN, United States, where I established independent comparative oncology research program. As a faculty member of the UF AI Initiative, I focus on developing novel diagnostic and clinical applications in the fields of comparative oncology and translational medicine by utilizing AI and machine learning. My primary research interest is to define fundamental mechanisms of cancers, particularly soft tissue sarcomas and bone malignancies such as angiosarcoma and osteosarcoma. These tumors occur naturally in companion dogs, and my research team is dedicated to revolutionizing comparative oncology research to improve human and animal health.
