Dr. Abdolreza (Arash) Simchi is a nationwide exemplary Professor in Engineering Science and Materials Engineering and a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Bonn, Germany). He has been consistently among the top 1% of highly-cited materials scientists in the Web of Science and ranks among the top 150 scientists worldwide in “Emerging and Strategic Technologies | Materials” in the Sandford University list (2021). He has received many national and international awards, including the George Foster Research Award, Khwarizmi International Award, World Intellectual Property Award, EPMA Award to Materials Development for Technology Development, Royal Society Fellowship, Nano Award, and many more. He was recognized by the National Nanotechnology Initiative Council and National Elite Foundation. He received the Dr. Mojtahedi Award and Allameh Tabatabaeei Award as one of the most influential scientists within the nation in his field of expertise. The activities of Dr. Simchi span a broad area, including the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for biomedical, energy, and sensing applications. He has been the author and co-author of four books, three book chapters, ten patents, +100 invited talks and international presentations, and +300 peer-reviewed papers, which have been cited +14200 times with an h-index of 64. He is a member of the Editorial Board of many ISI-ranked journals and frequently serves as a referee of several high-impact scientific journals.
