Prof. Xuerui Wu has a position as an Associate Researcher and is currently working at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China (2016–present). She is a postdoctoral fellow at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She won the second prize in the Geomatics Science & Technology Progress Award, China, in October 2013. Her research areas cover the following: GNSS-R ocean and land scattering model research, scattering mechanism simulation and recognition, sea state parameters and land parameter simulation modeling analysis, providing mechanism tools for space-borne algorithms, and providing theory for ground experiments. She also supports and establishes inversion algorithms for relevant ground object parameters and sea state parameters. Land surface parameter GNSS-R remote sensing involves soil moisture, surface freeze/thaw cycle characteristics, vegetation moisture content, vegetation biomass, wetlands, etc. She also researched sea state parameters mainly focusing on significant wave height. She is the author of 55 scientific publications, most of which were published in peer-reviewed journals in these fields and her h-index is 11 (source from Scopus).
