Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a brain-related disease in which the condition of the patient gets worse with time. AD is not a curable disease by any medication. It is impossible to halt the death of brain cells, but with the help of medication, the effects of AD can be delayed. As not all MCI patients will suffer from AD, it is required to accurately diagnose whether a mild cognitive impaired (MCI) patient will convert to AD (namely MCI converter MCI-C) or not (namely MCI non-converter MCI-NC), during early diagnosis. There are two modalities, positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance image (MRI), used by a physician for the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Machine learning and deep learning perform exceptionally well in the field of computer vision where there is a requirement to extract information from high-dimensional data. Researchers use deep learning models in the field of medicine for diagnosis, prognosis, and even to predict the future health of the patient under medication. This study is a systematic review of publications using machine learning and deep learning methods for early classification of normal cognitive (NC) and Alzheimer’s disease (AD).This study is an effort to provide the details of the two most commonly used modalities PET and MRI for the identification of AD, and to evaluate the performance of both modalities while working with different classifiers.

Skin cancer is caused due to unusual development of skin cells and deadly type cancer. Early diagnosis is very significant and can avoid some categories of skin cancers, such as melanoma and focal cell carcinoma. The recognition and the classification of skin malignant growth in the beginning time is expensive and challenging. The deep learning architectures such as recurrent networks and convolutional neural networks (ConvNets) are developed in the past, which are proven appropriate for non-handcrafted extraction of complex features. To additional expand the efficiency of the ConvNet models, a cascaded ensembled network that uses an integration of ConvNet and handcrafted features based multi-layer perceptron is proposed in this work. This offered model utilizes the convolutional neural network model to mine non-handcrafted image features and colour moments and texture features as handcrafted features. It is demonstrated that accuracy of ensembled deep learning model is improved to 98.3% from 85.3% of convolutional neural network model.

Music is a heavenly way of expressing feelings about the world. The language of music has vast diversity. For centuries, people have indulged in debates to stratisfy between Western and Indian Classical Music. But through this paper, an understanding can be fabricated while differentiating the types of Indian Classical Music. Classical music is one of the essential characteristics of Indian Cultural Heritage. Indian Classical Music is divided into two major parts, i.e. Hindustani and Carnatic. Models have been sculptured and trained to classify between Hindustani and Carnatic Music. In this paper, two approaches are used to implement classification models. MFCCs are used as features and implemented models like DNN (1 Layer, 2 Layers, 3 Layers), CNN (1 Layer, 2 Layers, 3 Layers), RNN-LSTM, SVM (Sigmoid, Polynomial & Gaussian Kernel) as one approach. A 3 channels input is created by merging features like MFCC, Spectrogram and Scalogram and implemented models like VGG-16, CNN (1 Layer, 2 Layers, 3 Layers), ResNet-50 as another approach. 3 Layered CNN and RNN-LSTM model performed best among all the approaches.

This paper investigates the leader-following consensus control problem for a class of nonlinear multiagent systems subject to sensor and actuator faults under a fixed directed graph. First, a fault compensation mechanism is proposed because of multiple faults wherein the adaptive parameters substitute the fault coefficients. Then, the command filtering method is employed to avoid the burst of complexity rendered by the duplicative differentiation of the virtual control signal. Furthermore, the neural networks-based state observers are designed to reconstruct the unmeasurable states of the nonlinear multiagent systems. According to the given design approach, a switching threshold-based event-triggered adaptive fault-tolerant control strategy is developed and ensures all the signals in the closed-loop system are semiglobally uniformly ultimately bounded (SGUUB). Finally, the simulation result is provided to demonstrate the validity of the presented method.

The environment and development are major issues of general concern. After much suffering from the harm of environmental pollution, human beings began to pay attention to environmental protection and started to carry out pollutant prediction research. A large number of air pollutant predictions have tried to predict pollutants by revealing their evolution patterns, emphasizing the fitting analysis of time series but ignoring the spatial transmission effect of adjacent areas, leading to low prediction accuracy. To solve this problem, we propose a time series prediction network with the self-optimization ability of a spatio-temporal graph neural network (BGGRU) to mine the changing pattern of the time series and the spatial propagation effect. The proposed network includes spatial and temporal modules. The spatial module uses a graph sampling and aggregation network (GraphSAGE) in order to extract the spatial information of the data. The temporal module uses a Bayesian graph gated recurrent unit (BGraphGRU), which applies a graph network to the gated recurrent unit (GRU) so as to fit the data’s temporal information. In addition, this study used Bayesian optimization to solve the problem of the model’s inaccuracy caused by inappropriate hyperparameters of the model. The high accuracy of the proposed method was verified by the actual PM2.5 data of Beijing, China, which provided an effective method for predicting the PM2.5 concentration.
