Information

I am currently a Full Professor at University of Almería, Spain, Department of Engineering. I obtained my degree as an Agricultural Engineer at the University of Cordoba, Spain. Later, I also received my doctorate in agronomy in 1997. My research activity has always aimed at offering solutions to the R&D demands of our environment related to the fields of my specialization in recent years such as: Geomatic Engineering, Remote Sensing, 2D/3D Digital Cartography and application of CAD/CAE technologies in engineering. Regarding my international scientific collaborations, it is worth highlighting my stays at the University of Newcastle (UK) and the Nova University of Lisbon. In addition, I have led a project of Excellence funded by the Junta de Andalucía where up to four different universities have collaborated (Newcastle, Nova de Lisboa, Jaén and Almería) (GEOCoastal). I have also participated in several projects of the Spanish National R&D&i Plan in which I have collaborated with different international universities such as the University Nova de Lisboa, The University of Newcastle, the University of Perugia, Politecnico di Bari, the University of Akdeniz, the University of Naples ("Parthenope"), the University of Guayaquil and the Ohio State University. I have also led a project of the European POCTEFEX program collaborating with some Moroccan partners such as the Mohammed I University of Oujda.
