Massimiliano Castellazzi is an associate professor of clinical biochemistry and clinical molecular biology at the University of Ferrara, Italy. He holds a PhD in biochemistry, molecular biology, and biotechnology. As a researcher at the Laboratory of Neurochemistry and Neuroimmunology, his primary research interests focus on neuroinflammatory and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as sex differences in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers. He has authored more than 80 articles indexed on PubMed (Scopus H-index = 30 at November 2025).
