Since years I have been using different mass spectrometers (IRMS, AMS, LA-ICPMS, ESI-MS/MS, QMS, FTICR, LSC) to analyze the changes in the environment, related to climate change and industrial development and implementation of pro-ecological policy.
The innovation of projects consisted in particular the temporal and spatial analysis of the impact of climate change and anthropogenic CO2 emissions and other contaminants on trees growing nearby different industrial factories during the development of industry (since the 1970s) and the implementation of pro-ecological policy in Silesia (implementation of the different standards and limitations of greenhouse gas emissions and pollution by the industrial factories according to European Union law). I have determined inter alia: isotopic composition of wood and its components, iWUE, Suess effect in the industrial part of Silesia (next to industrial factories). I have been showing that the environmental signals are readable at the molecular level (glucose). The results of the research and analysis of plants that I have been making since 2006 have been presented in scientific journals and during scientific conferences. I am author or co-author of more than 100 publications. Last years I have been a supervisor of three Projects Based Learning programs connected priority research (4 &6) areas of the "Excellence Initiative-Research University"
