Dr. Wang obtained his Ph.D. with Professor Ronald Quinn at the Eskitis Institute for Drug Discovery, Griffith University, Australia, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the Molecular Targets Program, National Cancer Institute – Frederick. He investigates the structural chemistry and biological properties of natural products from diverse sources. His discovery of biologically active natural products has provided novel structural classes of secondary metabolites with unusual molecular scaffolds and functional groups. These compounds can serve as chemical probes for molecular studies or as preclinical development candidates.
