Ugur Korkut Pata is an associate professor of economics at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Türkiye. The researcher is among the 2% of the world's most influential scientists for 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 listed by Stanford University. Dr. Pata also became the youngest associate professor of economics in Türkiye at the age of 29. Dr. Pata also serves as a field editor of Web of Science-indexed journals such as Financial Innovation (Springer), Gondwana Research (Elsevier) and Natural Resource Modeling (Wiley). He is also the first scientist to empirically investigate the determinants of the load capacity factor and to propose the load capacity curve (LCC) hypothesis in the environmental economics literature.
