Dr. Umile Gianfranco Spizzirri received his Ph.D. in “Methodologies for the development of molecules of pharmacological interest” at the University of Calabria in 2005, and since 2008, he has been a member of the permanent technical staff at the Department of Pharmacy, Health and Nutritional Sciences of the University of Calabria. His research interests involve the synthesis and characterization of macromolecular systems to be applied in the pharmaceutical and biomedical fields, as well as in the food industry. His research activity has led to the publication (from 2004 to date) of 213 scientific papers, of which 109 are articles in international journals, 27 are volume contributions, 66 are abstracts presented at national and international conferences, 5 are editorials, and 6 are books (scientific parameters: H-index: 36; total citations: 4000).
