Biography

Peng Li received the B.Sc. degree in geodesy from Changchun Institute of Technology in 2007, and the Ph.D. degree in geodesy and geomatics from Wuhan University in 2013. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Glasgow, U.K. (2012), Newcastle University, U.K. (2019), and a postdoc at Ocean University of China (2016–2019). He is currently a Professor at the Institute of Estuarine and Coastal Research, Ocean University of China. With nearly 20 years of experience in Earth Observation, he leads a research group decoding how global climate change and human activities impact coastal wetlands and river deltas. They leverage multi-source observations and machine learning to detect, monitor, and predict environmental dynamics from large-scale geospatial datasets. 🛰️ Core Expertise & Technologies: * Remote Sensing: Coastal/marine remote sensing, hyperspectral imaging, and GNSS-R. * Radar & Altimetry: InSAR deformation mapping, PolSAR, and satellite altimetry (SWOT, ICESat, CryoSat). * Integrated Geomatics: Harnessing in-situ, UAV-LiDAR, airborne, and spaceborne platforms. * AI Modeling: Predictive machine learning for environmental dynamics. Always open to international collaborations, joint research proposals, and academic exchange. Feel free to connect! (Email: pengli@ouc.edu.cn)
