To achieve the research objectives, data were collected from managers or owners of furniture export orientation in Central Java, Indonesia. Using structural equation modeling, and after a series of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzed, the authors tested an integrated model of the relationship between relational capital, network competence, market entry capabilities and marketing performance. Findings: The result of this study indicates that relational capital has a positive significant effect on marketing performance. Relational capital has an insignificant effect on market entry capabilities. Network competence has a positive effect on market entry capabilities. Market entry capabilities have a positive effect on marketing performance. Other results also show that market entry capabilities can mediate the influence of network competence and marketing performance. Research limitations/implications: The limitation of this research indicates that respondents in this research are very varied, if it is seen from their background into furniture business development, whereas many respondents do not have enough understanding of the questionnaire distributed. This research is only developed at the SMEs’ furniture area, so it cannot be generalized at the other organizational area. The influencing of relational capital result in market entry capability has not suitable with theory built. It is because inaccurate dimension market entry capability has been applied in this research. For future research, it is suggested to look for alternative dimension of market entry capability. Practical implications: Based on the analysis results and discussion, it can be formulated that managerial implication explains the following steps: first, a company should focus on long-period relationship development. Focus on long-period relationship development will increase customer loyalty and company performance. Moreover, the customer has long-term relationship with organization, although instability condition because of the belief in long-period relationship and strong commitment to each other. The evidence from this study suggests that’s the organization needs to develop the long-term relationship with customer. Second, networking competency is important in market entry capability. Relationship can change anytime; therefore, the company has to have a strong competency of network developing. This competency helps company to enhance strong relationship. The strong network relationship helps company face easier ways in market entry capability. Originality/value: The results of this research indicate that the role played by relational capital to increase market entry capability is not as good as the role played by network capability on market entry capability. In the international market context, the role of resource-based view is better than that of transaction cost economy in influencing market entry capability. Other results also show that market entry capabilities can mediate the influence of network competence and marketing performance.

Unresolved tensions frequently lead to the failure of family businesses. Parents and their children should be able to work together to resolve protracted problems. This study intends to explore the intergenerational conflict resolution strategy in an effort to develop new family business values and ensure the sustainability of family enterprises. The respondents in this study were 152 family business owners in Eastern Indonesia. The analysis used is PLS-SEM. The results of this study indicate that creating new value requires three intergenerational conflict resolution strategies: intergenerational collaboration, accommodation, and forcing. The results of this study also show that a family business that is able to create new value will be able to have an impact on the sustainability of the family business. This study contributes to the Thomas-Kilmann conflict mode approach, wherein the Thomas-Kilmann conflict mode instrument method leads to the creation of new values and sustainability in family enterprises.

This study also used the Rational Choice Theory approach as a foundation to explain the current situation in Indonesia regarding customer purchasing decisions and satisfaction. The questionnaires were distributed online to 691 consumers in various cities in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of this study indicate that the attitudes toward negative eWOM have an impact on increasing panic buying activity and brand switching. Finally, the relationship between buying activity as well as brand switching toward customer satisfaction has significance. The conclusions drawn in this study will contribute to studies or research regarding Rational Choice Theory.
The ability to transform on a regular basis is critical in the effort to adapt to external challenges; however, changes to an organization’s fundamental characteristics may increase the likelihood of failure. Because of this, organizational restructuring efforts appear to engender cynicism, which appears to be one of the most significant obstacles facing contemporary businesses, particularly in this area. Organizational inertia is the term used to describe this aversion to change, as well as the desire to maintain the current status quo. A new organizational culture capable of combating the incidence of organizational stagnation is required by massive social, economic, and technological difficulties, and firms that employ the concept of empowering leadership will be able to meet these challenges. For the purposes of this study, a framework for discussing the phenomena of organizational cynicism was developed and implemented.

The purposes of this study are: (1) to test the effect of market sensing capability on SMEs performance, both directly and indirectly (product innovativeness success as intervening variable); (2) to test the effect of entrepreneurial orientation on SMEs performance, both directly and indirectly (product innovativeness success as intervening variable); (3) to test the effect of market sensing capability on speed to market; and (4) to test the effect of speed to market on SMEs performance. This research sampled 168 SME owners or managers. This study uses Structural Equation Model to test the hypothesis and uses AMOS 21 in data analysis. The result of this study shows that entrepreneurial orientation and product innovativeness have positive and significant effect on SMEs performance but market sensing capability and speed to market have no significant effect. Market sensing capability has significant effect on speed to market and product innovativeness success but entrepreneurial orientation has no significant effect on product innovativeness success. Product innovation success becomes the best mediating variable of markets sensing capability on SMEs performance than entrepreneurial orientation on SMEs performance. The findings of this study provide two contributions to the entrepreneurship research. First, in the leather and furniture industry, the most important factor in achieving performance of SMEs is product innovation success. Second, entrepreneurial orientation is still predictive in improving performance.
