The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) route planning problem mainly centralizes on the process of calculating the best route between the departure point and target point as well as avoiding obstructions on route to avoid collisions within a given flight area. A highly efficient route planning approach is required for this complex high dimensional optimization problem. However, many algorithms are infeasible or have low efficiency, particularly in the complex three-dimensional (3d) flight environment. In this paper, a modified sparrow search algorithm named CASSA has been presented to deal with this problem. Firstly, the 3d task space model and the UAV route planning cost functions are established, and the problem of route planning is transformed into a multi-dimensional function optimization problem. Secondly, the chaotic strategy is introduced to enhance the diversity of the population of the algorithm, and an adaptive inertia weight is used to balance the convergence rate and exploration capabilities of the algorithm. Finally, the Cauchy–Gaussian mutation strategy is adopted to enhance the capability of the algorithm to get rid of stagnation. The results of simulation demonstrate that the routes generated by CASSA are preferable to the sparrow search algorithm (SSA), particle swarm optimization (PSO), artificial bee colony (ABC), and whale optimization algorithm (WOA) under the identical environment, which means that CASSA is more efficient for solving UAV route planning problem when taking all kinds of constraints into consideration.

This paper conducts a detailed overview on game-theoretic approaches for power demand response (DR) in the open and ever-growing electricity market (EM) in terms of three major categories of games, including non-cooperative game, cooperative game, and evolutionary game. In addition, we also separately review the Stackelberg game and Bayesian game in power DR. First, we briefly describe the main contents of game theory and the game behaviors of the electricity sellers, electricity suppliers, and electricity users in EM. Second, we comprehensively introduce the principle of the above-mentioned five categories of games and thoroughly review their applications in power DR in the context of open EMs, considering the transactions such as electricity pricing and electricity capacity trading among the electricity supplier side, electricity seller side, and electricity user side in the perfect open EMs, such as retail market, spot market, wholesale market, and ancillary service market. In this survey, aiming at each type of game mentioned above, we try to summarize the advantages and shortcomings of their application in EM in terms of power DR, as well as the issues that need to be solved currently or in the future. Finally, we offer some prospects on the scenario application and future development of game-theoretic approaches for power DR in an open EM. The biggest innovation of this paper lies in conducting a comprehensive survey on game-theoretic approaches applied to transactions in the open and ever-growing EMs from the perspective of power DR in terms of five major categories of games. We conduct this survey intended to arouse the interest and excitement of experts and scholars in the energy and electric power system industry and to look ahead to efforts that jointly promote the rapid development of game theory in the perfect open EM field.

This review proposes a novel integration of game-theoretical methods—specifically Evolutionary Game Theory (EGT), Stackelberg games, and Bayesian games—with deep reinforcement learning (DRL) to optimize electricity markets. Our approach uniquely addresses the dynamic interactions among power purchasing and generation enterprises, highlighting both theoretical underpinnings and practical applications. We demonstrate how this integrated framework enhances market resilience, informs evidence-based policy-making, and supports renewable energy expansion. By explicitly connecting our findings to regulatory strategies and real-world market scenarios, we underscore the political implications and applicability of our results in diverse global electricity systems. By integrating EGT with advanced methodologies such as DRL, this study develops a comprehensive framework that addresses both the dynamic nature of electricity markets and the strategic adaptability of market participants. This hybrid approach allows for the simulation of complex market scenarios, capturing the nuanced decision-making processes of enterprises under varying conditions of uncertainty and competition. The review systematically evaluates the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of various control policies implemented within electricity markets, including pricing mechanisms, capacity incentives, renewable integration incentives, and regulatory measures aimed at enhancing market competition and transparency. Our analysis underscores the potential of EGT to significantly enhance market resilience, enabling electricity markets to better withstand shocks such as sudden demand fluctuations, supply disruptions, and regulatory changes. Moreover, the integration of EGT with DRL facilitates the promotion of sustainable energy integration by modeling the strategic adoption of renewable energy technologies and optimizing resource allocation. This leads to improved overall market performance, characterized by increased efficiency, reduced costs, and greater sustainability. The findings contribute to the development of robust regulatory frameworks that support competitive and efficient electricity markets in an evolving energy landscape. By leveraging the dynamic and adaptive capabilities of EGT and DRL, policymakers can design regulations that not only address current market challenges but also anticipate and adapt to future developments. This proactive approach is essential for fostering a resilient energy infrastructure capable of accommodating rapid advancements in renewable technologies and shifting consumer demands. Additionally, the review identifies key areas for future research, including the exploration of multi-agent reinforcement learning techniques and the need for empirical studies to validate the theoretical models and simulations discussed. This study provides a comprehensive roadmap for optimizing electricity markets through strategic and policy-driven interventions, bridging the gap between theoretical game-theoretic models and practical market applications.

Compared with conventional methods of fault diagnosis for power transformers, which have defects such as imperfect encoding and too absolute encoding boundaries, this paper systematically discusses various intelligent approaches applied in fault diagnosis and decision making for large oil-immersed power transformers based on dissolved gas analysis (DGA), including expert system (EPS), artificial neural network (ANN), fuzzy theory, rough sets theory (RST), grey system theory (GST), swarm intelligence (SI) algorithms, data mining technology, machine learning (ML), and other intelligent diagnosis tools, and summarizes existing problems and solutions. From this survey, it is found that a single intelligent approach for fault diagnosis can only reflect operation status of the transformer in one particular aspect, causing various degrees of shortcomings that cannot be resolved effectively. Combined with the current research status in this field, the problems that must be addressed in DGA-based transformer fault diagnosis are identified, and the prospects for future development trends and research directions are outlined. This contribution presents a detailed and systematic survey on various intelligent approaches to faults diagnosing and decisions making of the power transformer, in which their merits and demerits are thoroughly investigated, as well as their improvement schemes and future development trends are proposed. Moreover, this paper concludes that a variety of intelligent algorithms should be combined for mutual complementation to form a hybrid fault diagnosis network, such that avoiding these algorithms falling into a local optimum. Moreover, it is necessary to improve the detection instruments so as to acquire reasonable characteristic gas data samples. The research summary, empirical generalization and analysis of predicament in this paper provide some thoughts and suggestions for the research of complex power grid in the new environment, as well as references and guidance for researchers to choose optimal approach to achieve DGA-based fault diagnosis and decision of the large oil-immersed power transformers in preventive electrical tests.
