Yulan Liu is a professor at the School of Animal Science and Nutritional Engineering, Wuhan Polytechnic University. She was awarded the “National May 1st Labor Medal”, and received the “National Natural Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars”, “Ten Thousand Talents Program” Leading Talent of China and et al. Dr. Liu is a deputy editor of the British Journal of Nutrition and a member of the Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology. Dr. Liu’s research area focuses on animal nutrition, immunity, and gastrointestinal health, and the development of antibiotic substitutes. At present, Dr. Liu has presided over more than 40 national and provincial scientific research projects and won more than 10 scientific awards such as the Hubei Provincial Scientific Progress Award (first-class). Dr. Liu has published over 80 peer reviewed papers in journals such as Trends in Cell Biology, Cell Death & Disease, The Journal of Nutrition, Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, and others.
