Chihaia Rares-Andrei is a scientific researcher at the National Institute for Research and Development in Electrical Engineering ICPE-CA, Romania. His work carried out within the Department of Renewable Sources and Energy Efficiency focuses on the use of renewable energy sources and the research, development and design of innovative products for energy harvesting from renewable energy sources. He received a PhD in Civil Engineering ("Innovative solutions used for developing small hydropower plants with reduced environmental impact") in 2015. His professional experience includes three research projects (as project manager), acting as a team member or key person in more than 20 research projects, publishing 45 scientific papers (16 of which Web of Science has indexed) and three issued patents.
