Dr de la Rubia (M.D., PhD) combines his work as Head of the Haematology Service in the Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe with the position of Principal Investigator of the Research Group of Haematology and Haemotherapy at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria La Fe. Furthermore, he is a professor of Haematology at the Universidad Católica de Valencia. Since 2000, he is also one of the coordinators of the Grupo Español de Mieloma (GEM). His research focuses on the design, treatment and monitoring of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance, multiple myeloma, and primary amyloidosis. He has published more than 250 papers in high-impact journals and has participated in different national and international congresses.
