Paulo de Mello Tavares Lima graduated with a B.Sc. in Veterinary Medicine (2011) and received an M.Sc. in Animal Science (2013), both from the University of Brasília—UnB, Brazil. He obtained his Ph.D. in Science from the Centre for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA), University of São Paulo (USP), Piracicaba, Brazil (2016).
He was a Post Doctoral Researcher at the CENA/USP in 2017–2022. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Animal Science, University of Wyoming, USA.
During his academic career he has been working on research in animal science, focusing on ruminant nutrition, physiology, and precision management. His main research interest is to utilize precision management tools to seek sustainable strategies for increasing animal (ruminant) production, with a focus on animal performance, health, greenhouse gas emissions, and impacts of plant secondary compounds on rumen metabolism.
