Dr. Eugenio Ragazzi received his M.D. degree cum laude from the University of Padua (Italy) in 1982, where he also earned Specialty Diplomas in Endocrinology (1985) and Clinical Pharmacology (1990). He began his research in Pharmacology at University of Padua in 1983 and was appointed Assistant Professor in 1990. Between 1989 and 1990, he worked at the University of Florida, Gainesville (U.S.A.), in the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Research directed by Prof. Luiz Belardinelli. Since 1992, he has served as Associate Professor of Pharmacology in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences at University of Padua. He has taught Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, and Toxicology in Pharmacy and Medicinal Chemistry programs, and since 1997, Pharmacognosy in the Herbal Medicine School. Retired since October 2022, he continues to collaborate in scientific activities and has been appointed Senior Scholar of the Studium Patavinum. His research topics spans molecular and natural product pharmacology, anticancer drug evaluation, data mining and biomarker discovery, translational collaborations in metabolic and endocrine disorders.
