Dr. Zahid Iqbal has 16 years of biomedical R & D experience in the field of pharmacology, drug development, health biotechnology and herbal drugs’ screening. He completed his PhD Pharmacology in 2008 and currently working as a professor in the department of pharmacology at Swat Medical College, Saidu Sharif, Swat, Pakistan. He is an HEC approved PhD supervisor in the field of pharmaceutical/biomedical sciences. He was awarded Research Productivity Award 2017-18 by Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan and was ranked third amongst all health scientists of Pakistan. In 2012, Dr. Iqbal was selected as Associate Young Scientist and Associate Fellow by Pakistan Academy of Sciences. He has won four research projects (collective worth of PKR 12 million) and seven international travel grants. He has organized four national level workshops and five international conferences and has participated in 20 national and international conferences and symposia around the globe. He has more than 30 publications in highly reputed, peer reviewed international journals. Dr. Iqbal has delivered keynote speeches at four international conferences and facilitated seven workshops on research methodology and research proposal development in Pakistan and abroad. He is member of ten national and international societies and organization and woeking as Editor-in-Chief of Asian Journal of Agriculture and Biology, Web of Science and Scopus indexed journal.
