Biography

I am a cell biologist actively engaged in experimental and clinical research in Cardiovascular Science. I completed my Ph.D. in Life Sciences as a Senior research fellow of the Indian Council of Medical Research from Central Drug Research Institute, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, 2008); and thereafter my Postdoctoral Diploma from Dept. of Medicine, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden, 2011.My current research is focused on the pathophysiological functions of platelets in the cardiovascular disease. The translational approach of my research combines both fundamental experimental research and clinical investigation on the molecular mediators of thrombotic and thrombo-inflammatory platelets functions. Much of this investigation concerns the CXCL12-CXCR4-CXCR7 axis and the platelet lipidome.
