Sara Havrlišan was born on October 13, 1986 in Slavonski Brod, Republic of Croatia. She completed the undergraduate university study of Production Engineering (Mechanical Engineering Technologies module), at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod in 2010 and earned the Bachelor of Engineering degree. On September 30, 2011 she graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod, defending her graduate thesis "Polymeric Nanocomposites" and earned the academic title of Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering. In December 2017 she defended her PhD thesis "Stochastic approach to modelling and optimization of flame spraying". Since January 26, 2018 she has been employed as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Industrial Engineering (the Chair of Maintenance and Computer Integrated Manufacturing) at the Mechanical Engineering Faculty in Slavonski Brod. She participated in the implementation of two IPA IV projects: "e4 corner@mefsb: entrepreneurship in engineering education initiative - key to better employability" and "Every learning counts". Current research interests are the flame spraying and design and analysis of experiments.
