Jorge Casseb graduated in Medicine from the University of the State of Pará (1989), and has a Master's Degree in Allergy and Immunopathology from the University of São Paulo (1995), and a PhD in Pathology from the University of São Paulo (1999). He has also been a Full Professor at UNIFESP (2010) and USP (2014). He is currently Associate Professor III at the Faculty of Medicine/Institute of Tropical Medicine at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the area of immunology, with emphasis on applied immunology, working mainly on the following topics: HIV-1, HTLV, immunology and myelopathy associated with HTLV-1.
