Profesional with more that 10 years of experience, with different interests and activities: researcher, university teacher, entrepeneur. For this time I have been involved in several scientific and technical top-level projects. Always working close to the Civil Engineering industry, to provide technical and scientific answers to their problems and needs. I put together the research with teaching activities on the education of Civil Engineers in Master studies. Furthermore, I do supervise Master Thesis and Doctoral thesis in the Construction and Structural Engineering area. Ability to generate scientific development according to industrial needs. Enthusiastic on answering real engineering problems from the science perspective My research topic is the multi-scale approach to the design, development and characterisation of structural concrete, from a comprenhensive point of view: material-structure; design-set in place-durability. Such a comprenhensive point tries to integrate several aspects which influence the final performance of materials and structures: geology, materials characteristics, design and project, set-in-place, control methodologies, durability.
