Dr. Ángela Rubio-Moraga is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy at UCLM and a senior researcher. She completed a European PhD in 2004 on the isolation, structural characterization, and pharmacological properties of saffron corm saponins in the Department of Agroforestry Science and Technology and Genetics at the School of Agricultural Engineering in Albacete. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Bioorganic Chemistry Laboratory of the Bijvoet Center at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, where she completed structural studies of secondary metabolites from saffron corm. After completing her postdoctoral fellowship, she joined the laboratory of Dr. Lourdes Gómez Gómez, where she has continued her research since 2008.
