Prof. Siddharth Pandey currently holds an N. K. Jha Chair Professorship at IIT Delhi. After receiving his 5-year Integrated M.Sc. from IIT Kanpur, Prof. Pandey left for the U.S., where he obtained his Ph.D. (North Texas) under the supervision of Professor William E. Acree, Jr. and worked as a post-doctoral research instructor at University at Buffalo, the State University of New York (SUNY-Buffalo) with Professor Frank V. Bright. In 2000, he joined New Mexico Tech as an assistant professor (tenure-track) of chemistry. After spending 4 years there, Prof. Pandey accepted the assistant professor position in the Department of Chemistry at IIT Delhi, where he was promoted to associate professor in October 2006 and became a professor in April 2011 (and was granted HAG in July 2019). He was a visiting professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Missouri-Columbia, USA during the academic year of 2011–2012. He has received the NASI-SCOPUS Young Investigator Award (2009), the Excellence in Teaching Award by the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (2012), the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) Bronze Medal (2016), the Prof. P. C. P. Bhatt Faculty Research Award (2020), the Distinguished Faculty in Chemistry Award by the Venus International Foundation (2022), and the Professor R. D. Desai 80th Birthday Commemoration Medal & Prize Award from the Indian Chemical Society (2023). He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) (2015).
