Maria Del Pilar Taboada Sotomayor is the leader of the Nano(bio)mimetic-sensors Group and an Associate Professor at the São Paulo State University (UNESP—Brazil) and has been a Doctor Honoris Causa at the National University of Engineering (Peru) since 2018. She works mainly in the development of electrochemical and optical biomimetic sensors based on biomimetic catalysts and molecularly imprinted polymers. Additionally, she works in the development of genosensors and rapid analysis devices based on lateral flow. Currently, Professor Sotomayor is an Associate Professor at the Analytical Chemistry Department at the Chemistry Institute of UNESP.
