Dr. Komsan Hongesombut obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Osaka University, Japan. From 2003-2005, he was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan. From 2005-2009, he was a specialist in power systems at the R&D Center of Tokyo Electric Power Company, Japan. Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Kasetsart University, Thailand. His research interests include power system modeling, power system dynamics, controls and stability, power system planning and protection, and smart grid.
