Rice production is highly seasonal, and the timing for conducting harvest operations has a relatively significant impact on yields, especially the appropriate timing of the harvesting operations. Using scientific methods to monitor the appropriate harvest period can effectively reduce harvesting losses. Most of the existing studies in this field focus on yield changes that occur during the harvest period of rice and also use multispectral remote sensing for inversion of the crop canopy. However, there has been no research on combining the yields and spectral characteristics of the harvest period. In this article, a monitoring method for the appropriate harvest period of rice based on multispectral remote sensing was established. Remote sensing data of the rice canopy were acquired using UAV equipped with multispectral (550 nm, 660 nm, 735 nm, and 790 nm) cameras, and physiological characteristic data of rice moisture content, thousand‐grain weight, and tassel ratios were determined simultaneously. Single‐band and combined‐band spectral reflectance were introduced as model input variables to compare the BP neural network, SVM, and decision tree; a quantitative inversion model of the physiological characteristics of rice was established. The accuracy of the inversion model with different input variables and model methods was evaluated, and the optimal inversion model for rice moisture content and thousand‐grain weight was selected, which could be used to determine whether the crop was harvested during the appropriate period. The continuous monitoring of two rice varieties (South Japonica 46 and South Japonica 5055) indicated that the moisture content of South Japonica 46 decreased linearly during the 20‐day trial period, while its thousand‐grain weight showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing. The moisture content of South Japonica 5055 showed a fluctuating downward trend, and its thousand‐grain weight also showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing. The spectral reflectance at 735 nm increased gradually, and that of both rice varieties increased from about 35% at the beginning of the trial to about 75% in the later stage. The spectral reflectance at the other three bands did not show significant change with the harvest date. The inverse model of spectral reflectance with rice thousand‐grain weight and moisture content was established using the BP neural network, SVM, and decision tree. In single‐band inversion models, the regression effect at 735 nm was relatively good in the BP neural network model, with the highest determination coefficients of spectral reflectance and thousand‐grain weight of both rich varieties and the smallest RMSE of prediction results. In combined‐band inversion models, the regression effects at 550 + 660+735 nm and 660 + 735+790 nm were the best in the SVM and thousand‐grain weight inversion models.

The plant protection unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) scheduling model is of great significance to improve the operation income of UAV plant protection teams and ensure the quality of the operation. The simulated annealing algorithm (SA) is often used in the optimization solution of scheduling models, but the SA algorithm has the disadvantages of easily falling into local optimum and slow convergence speed. In addition, the current research on the UAV scheduling model for plant protection is mainly oriented to static scenarios. In the actual operation process, the UAV plant protection team often faces unexpected situations, such as new orders and changes in transfer path costs. The static model cannot adapt to such emergencies. In order to solve the above problems, this paper proposes to use the Levi distribution method to improve the simulated annealing algorithm, and it proposes a dynamic scheduling model driven by unexpected events, such as new orders and transfer path changes. Order sorting takes into account such factors as the UAV plant protection team’s operating income, order time window, and job urgency, and prioritizes job orders. In the aspect of order allocation and solution, this paper proposes a Levy annealing algorithm (Levy-SA) to solve the scheduling strategy of plant protection UAVs in order to solve the problem that the traditional SA is easy to fall into local optimum and the convergence speed is slow. This paper takes the plant protection operation scenario of “one spray and three defenses” for wheat in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, as an example, to test the plant protection UAV scheduling model under the dynamic conditions of new orders and changes in transfer costs. The results show that the plant protection UAV dynamic scheduling model proposed in this paper can meet the needs of plant protection UAV scheduling operations in static and dynamic scenarios. Compared with SA and greedy best first search algorithm (GBFS), the proposed Levy-SA has better performance in static and dynamic programming scenarios. It has more advantages in terms of man-machine adjustment distance and total operation time. This research can provide a scientific basis for the dynamic scheduling and decision analysis of plant protection UAVs, and provide a reference for the development of an agricultural machinery intelligent scheduling system.

Recently, Goutham et al. proposed an ID-based user authentication with key agreement on elliptic curve cryptography(ECC), which is suitable to be applied in client-server-environment. The scheme mainly negotiates a temporary session key between two parties. However, we find that the scheme contains some security flaws, such as incomplete anonymity, no provision for updating private key and so on. In light of this, we propose a new version of anonymous authentication with key agreement protocol used for client-server environment, especially, the calculation of both sides are lower than the previous scheme. The proposed scheme provides more security features like complete anonymity, dynamic private key updating while keeping the merits of Goutham et al.'s scheme. We also optimize the performance of the scheme to get a lightweight protocol which is more suitable for resource-constrained device applied in Internet of Things(IoT) or wireless sensor network(WSN) applications.

The heading stage of rice is a critical period for disease control, such as for panicle blast. The rapid and accurate monitoring of rice growth is of great significance for plant protection operations in large areas for mobilizing resources. For this paper, the canopy multispectral information acquired continuously by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was used to obtain the heading rate by inversion. The results indicated that the multi-vegetation index inversion model is more accurate than the single-band and single-vegetation index inversion models. Compared with traditional inversion algorithms such as neural network (NN) and support vector regression (SVR), the adaptive boosting algorithm based on ensemble learning has a higher inversion accuracy, with a correlation coefficient (R2) of 0.94 and root mean square error (RMSE) of 0.12 for the model. The study suggests that a more effective inversion model of UAV multispectral remote sensing and heading rate can be built using the AdaBoost algorithm based on the multi-vegetation index, which provides a crop growth information acquisition and processing method for determining the timing of rice tassel control.

This paper takes the flying defense team as the operating unit and studies the route planning and tasks in the process of plant protection operations as system problems. In the route planning, the flight defense team’s operating time is used as the optimization goal of route planning. Taking the UAV battery and drug load as constraints, the flight mission is divided into subtasks that can be completed by a single UAV in a single flight. On this basis, the particle swarm algorithm is used to optimize the task allocation, so as to achieve the goal of UAV plant protection route and task division with minimum time loss. In order to verify the effectiveness of the method in this paper, 3 and 4 UAVs flying defense teams were used as the experimental objects, and experiments were carried out in large and small field groups. In terms of time consumption, the method in this paper is compared with the unit operation area method and the single size method. The energy consumption advantage is weaker than time consumption. In terms of time consumption, the method in this paper can greatly improve the efficiency of large-area operation areas. Compared with the unit operation area method, 3 drones can increase the efficiency by 58.98%, which is increased by 10.22% compared with the unit size method. The efficiency of 4 units can be increased by 58.08% compared with the unit operation area method, and the efficiency is increased by 10.22% compared with the unit size method.

When the outbreak of COVID-19 began, people could not go out. It was not allowed to provide agricultural machinery services in different places across regions to reduce the flow and gathering of people. Improvement of utilization efficiency of agricultural machinery resources is required through scientific scheduling of agricultural machinery. With seizing the farming season and stabilizing production as the goal, this paper studied the scientific scheduling of tractors within the scope of town and established agricultural machinery operation scheduling model with the minimization of total scheduling cost as the optimization objective. Factors such as farmland area, agricultural machinery, and farmland location information and operating time window are considered in this model to improve the accuracy of the agricultural machinery operation scheduling model. The characteristics of multiple scheduling algorithms are analyzed comprehensively. The scheduling requirements of agricultural machinery operation to ensure spring ploughing are combined to design the agricultural machinery scheduling algorithm based on the SA algorithm. With Hushu Street, Jiangning District, Nanjing City, as an example, a comparative experiment is conducted on the simulated annealing algorithm (SA) designed in this paper and the empirical algorithm and genetic algorithm (GA). The results suggest that the total cost of the scheduling scheme generated by the SA algorithm is 19,042.07 yuan lower than that by the empirical scheduling algorithm and 779.19 yuan lower than that by the genetic algorithm on average. Compared with the GA algorithm, the transfer distance, waiting cost, and delay cost of the SA algorithm are reduced by 11.6%, 100%, and 98.1% on average, indicating that the transfer distance of agricultural machinery in the scheduling scheme generated by the SA algorithm is shorter, so is the waiting and delay time. Meanwhile, it can effectively obtain the near-optimal solution that meets the time window constraint, with good convergence, stability, and adaptability.
