Kei Sato received his D.Sc. of physical chemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1996. He worked as an Assistant Professor of Tokyo Institute of Technology (1996-1999), moved to the National Institute for Environmental Studies of Japan as Researcher in 1999, was promoted to Senior Researcher in 2001, and was then promoted to Head of Regional Atmospheric Environment Section in 2018. His research topics mainly include chemical kinetics, atmospheric chemistry, and aerosol chemistry.
