Chao Chen is the Dean and Professor of the College of Animal Science, Guizhou University. He graduated from Guizhou Agricultural College in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in animal husbandry and from Nanjing Agricultural University in 1999 with a master’s degree in animal nutrition. In 2014, he received a doctorate in grassland science ecology from China Agricultural University. His research interests include grassland science, ecology, and animal husbandry. He has presided over and completed more than 30 national, provincial, and ministerial scientific research projects. He is currently the chief scientist of the Guizhou Grassland Industry Technology System, the person in charge of the Guizhou Grassland Ecological Animal Husbandry Talent Base, the executive director of the Chinese Grassland Society, and the executive director of the Feed Production Committee of the Chinese Grassland Society. In 2010, he won the “Second Prize” in Guizhou Science and Technology Transformation. In 2013, he won the “Third Prize” of Guizhou Science and Technology Progress. In 2018, he won the “Third Prize” of Guizhou Science and Technology Progress.
