Professor (sensory food science) at the University of Helsinki/Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry and professor (sensory perception) at the University of Turku/Faculty of Medicine. Adjunct professor in flavor chemistry and perception. Head of the Senses and Food group and the Chair of scientific Board of Flavoria®. Member of Global Consortium of Chemosensory Research (GCCR). Experienced principal investigator of several projects funded by the Academy of Finland or Business Finland. The AoF granted an award for social impact (2012). She has >20 years’ experience in chemosensory science and food and flavor perception (H-index 34, >150 publications). She is platform leader of FOODNUTRI infrastructure (Sensory and consumer science) and task force leader of National Food Research Strategy. She is a chair of the 10th European Conference on Sensory and Consumer Research, September 2022 (Turku, Finland).
