I am a graduate of the Medical Academy in Warsaw. After graduation, I worked at the Department of Internal Medicine and Endocrinology of the Medical University of Warsaw, where I obtained a specialization in internal medicine (2009), followed by endocrinology (2014) and diabetology (2017). I gained my professional experience by training in university hospitals in Great Britain (Manchester, Glasgow) and Germany (Frankfurt am Main). I also completed postgraduate studies in Dietary Counseling at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. Since 2021, I have been working as a professor at the Department of Internal Diseases and Gerontocardiology in the Independent Public Clinical Hospital of Professor Witold Orłowski in Warsaw, where I run the Obesity Treatment Outpatient Clinic. I cannot imagine my life without working with patients, but parallel with my clinical work, I conduct basic research at the Mossakowski Medical Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where I graduated as a doctor (2006) and habilitated doctor of medical sciences (2019). The main focus of my clinical activity is the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases, diabetes, and obesity, and my scientific work constitutes research on pathomechanisms leading to the development of obesity and related metabolic complications. I am an academic lecturer and the author of several dozen original and review papers in the field of endocrinology and diabetes.
